When looking for new ways to spruce up our homes for Christmas, we are often face with a creative block or the "where to start" phase. Let say for instance it's almost Christmas time and we all know family and friends will be gathering to celebrate the holidays. Usually our first thought if hosting would be getting our homes looking festive among other things right? But where to begin? We know we don't want to disappoint ourselves by doing too much that it becomes over whelming and stressful, but we also don't want to disappoint our friends and families especially the kids. Yep Christmas time for those little ones is one of the best time of the year. so decorating with them in mind can make you that cool or not so cool parent plus it's a time for making special memories that will last for years to come. Here are a few things to consider before starting.

On trend shopper

The first question usually is should we look to buying new and on trend décor or dust off those we have been so accustom to over the years? Well If your that décor enthusiast who wants to go all out and spend, spend, spend then by all means knock your self out, just remember in order not to break the bank 'shop early' before the holiday rush. Shopping early like a month before the season you tend to find bargains and discount deals. I find that buying seasonal décor after the season can also save you lots of money so you might want to consider this before hand.

Do it your self

If you're that #DIY savvy decorator who simply can't afford to go crazy with shopping then pull out the vintage ornaments and the not so fully working Christmas lights and get to work on designing and crafting something new and inspired with what you have on hand. If your considering how to do this I recommend going on #Pinterest or #YouTube to finding new and fun ideas to get you started. Just remember once you've found your style stick to it and get off. Do not get carried away or you will over think it and that can be a mess.

Newbie

Now if your new to decorating and not so sure which direction you should take but know you definitely want to try decorating then my advice to you is to {shop simple} What do I mean by this? Well, most times we go shopping for home décor and just buy what catches our eyes or what's trending, not keeping in mind the basic steps to decorating. Like for example your color pallet of the area/ space your planning to decorate, your theme, style and what your current space consist of. More often than not we over purchase and can't find a place for some of those new items or we find that what we bought does not fit in or compliment our space. Our solution to this conundrum is to {shop simple} shop for more soft tone items that are elegant and pleasing to the eye not just what's trending. This way each year you can re-use those same items in different ways and only focus on what colors you want to add to give your décor a new look each year. This will not only save you time and money but will also allow you to experiment with colors in your home in new and interesting ways.

Hire a professional

So after reading the above paragraphs your still not sure you have either the time, patients or creativity to decorate on your own. Well do not worry there is always a solution to everything if one is willing. That's what we always say around here. Our solution for this is in the heading text "Hire a professional" This is a sure fire way to get it done... get it done in time.... and get it done tastefully. Either way the job gets done. A professional will be able to gather from you your style and taste and find the right elements to compliment each individual style & pallet.

To rent or not to rent.

Did you know that seasonal décor can be rented? Well if you didn't then now you know.

Seasonal décor can be rented from decorators and designers like our company #ImageProweddings and #ImageProconcepts. We offer a wide variety of seasonal décor and if your not satisfied with our stock we will be more than willing to purchase items for you to suite your taste and needs, it's that simple. We even deliver, setup and remove after the festivities so you can go back to enjoying your day to day life style and guess what? your friends and family wouldn't even have to know you didn't do it yourself... unless you want them to.
